£1million renovation for one of Leeds city center’s most distinguished buildings

£1million refurbishment program for Albion Court

Over £1million is being spent to modernize one of Leeds city centre’s most revered properties, Albion Court. The stunning 31,400 square foot Victorian former Church of England Institute on the corner of Albion Place and Lands Lane was bought by Manchester-based property company Glenbrook Investments in September last year. Today, the company is extensively modernizing the offices above the ground floor and the basement.

Commenting on the refurbishment, Glenbrook Investment Director Scott Griffiths said: “Our contractors started on site this week and we are delighted to see all the hard work planning and designing the interior modifications being carried out. . The ground floor commercial tenants, Pizza Express, Byron Burger and Card Factory will remain as is, however the office reception area, basement, all common areas and vacant offices are to be fully renovated and upgraded. We wanted to reveal the features of the building and create a boutique style that is sympathetic to the architecture and history. I’m happy to say that our talented interior designers have created something very special.

Clem McDowell, Office Agency Manager at Carter Towler added: “We are delighted to have been appointed by Glenbrook to market these fantastic A+ grade offices. The interior appointments are exceptional — the colors and textures, quality of materials, and signature lighting are more in keeping with an upscale boutique hotel, but that’s absolutely what this property deserves.

“Albion Court has everything a discerning business could want, it is a unique Part II listed property with beautiful neo-Gothic architecture, in a prestigious location in the heart of the town, with a plethora of amenities close by, excellent transport links and the highest quality trendy interiors.

“From the tip of its elegant spire to the basement events and exercise space, Albion Court will be one of the finest office offerings in the city.”

Expected completion this fall, two office suites are available ranging from 4,000 to 8,300 square feet. Carter Towler and Lambert Smith Hampton are joint marketing agents for Albion Court.

One of the largest independent real estate consultants in the North, Carter Towler employs 55 people in total and is recognized as one of the most commercially active.
