BkONE Productions will bring ROMEO + JULIET to Industry City, Brooklyn

brooklynONE productions (bkONE) is bringing back its Brooklyn Shakespeare Festival in style! After playing their last in 2019, they are bringing Shakespeare back to an exciting new location!
“Getting an opportunity to bring our festival back was huge, but a chance to bring it to Industry City, to Sunset Park, is beyond anything we could have imagined.” Said Anthony Marino, founder/artistic director of bkONE, as well as the producer and co-director of the productions. “We made some breakthroughs with the team at Industry City, and they thought bringing an outdoor Shakespeare performance to their campus was a no-brainer. You can feel the artist’s energy there, we are delighted to add to it.”
bkONE founded the Brooklyn Shakespeare Festival in 2013 to bring the NYC Outdoor Shakespeare tradition to lower Brooklyn neighborhoods. Previously it was held at Owls Head Park with great success. The move to Industry City allows productions additional lighting, sound and production benefits, while providing audiences with all of the food, beverage and retail options located in Industry City, including Hometown BBQ.

Roméo + Juliette will present 2 shows per month in June, July and August. All shows will be held at Bandshell in Courtyard 1/2 in Industry City Brooklyn. Come and enjoy an energetic, fast-paced and passionate version of history, while enjoying the fun, atmosphere and culture of the Industry City campus. Food and beverages will be available during the show, by Hometown BBQ.
The event begins June 22 at 6 p.m. at Industry City Courtyard 1/2, 254 36th Street, Brooklyn. Tickets can be purchased prior to performances at www.bkone.org or the day of the event.
Performance days: 22, 28 June. July 20, 22 and August 9, 17. All shows at 6 p.m.
