Bugatti presents two of its latest Chiron creations

With just 500 examples of the £2.5million Bugatti Chiron hypercar being produced, it already secures entry into a very exclusive club.

But if that’s not enough, Bugatti’s ‘Bespoke’ personalization division can go a step further, with the French hypercar maker now showcasing two of its latest Chiron creations, one based on the brand’s Super Sport and the other on the Pur Sport.

The Chiron Super Sport seen here is one of the first to be delivered and is hand painted in a finish known as ‘Vagues de Lumière’ – translating to ‘waves of light’. It’s a hand-painted California Blue finish, with orange lines applied to the top, which Bugatti says takes “several weeks”.

A number 38 was also applied to the grille, with orange magnesium wheels and engine bay lettering features. The same color is also used liberally in the interior of the Super Sport.

At the same time, a bespoke Chiron Pur Sport also left the brand’s factory in Mosheim, north-eastern France. Coming in a blue carbon finish, additional stripes encircle the bodywork. The colors of the French flag also appear on either side of the Chiron’s fender, while a range of elements are finished in French Racing Blue, such as the number ‘9’ on the grille and the ‘Bugatti’ script on the the wing itself.

Bugatti says applying these paint schemes takes “around five weeks”, with a number of hand-finished coats of paint applied to achieve the required result.

Christophe Piochon, President of Bugatti, said: “The ‘Vague de Lumière’ paint applied to these two examples of our hyper sports cars embodies the fundamental philosophies of Bugatti; know-how, innovation and heritage.

“We are always striving to improve the Bugatti customer experience, from point of contact through to final handover and after-sales services, to levels never before offered in the automotive world. I’m really excited to see what our clients, alongside the team at Made to Measure, will create in the years to come.

Bugatti says the number of paint colors and leather finishes available on the Chiron is “almost unlimited”, with the Bespoke division created last year “due to ever-increasing customer demand for customisation”. .
