DuPont Artistri Inks Expands US Manufacturing Capacity

DuPont’s Fort Madison plant doubles its production capacity for inks and pigment dispersions
WILMINGTON, Delaware – DuPont™ Artistri®, a global leader in digital inkjet inks with more than 30 years of innovation, has completed a capacity increase to manufacture pigmented inkjet inks and dispersions at water base at its plant in Fort Madison, Iowa.
Commenting on this milestone, Tucker Norton, general manager of Artistri® digital inks at DuPont, said, “In the growing world of digital printing, our customers not only expect us to provide them with exceptional color and consistency, but they are also looking for improved productivity as well as delivery flexibility and reliability. With this increased capacity, we will be better able to meet customers around the world and the growing demand for pigment inkjet inks.
John Hellige, plant manager at DuPont’s Fort Madison, Iowa site, acknowledged the efforts of the project team. “The team completed the ink capacity expansion on time using innovative technology developed by Artistri® ink company’s R&D and manufacturing teams,” said Hellige. “The project was completed without incident, which contributed to our plant’s long-standing safety record. »
