IGBC, TSIIC ink pact on green buildings

CII-Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) and Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Cooperation (TSIIC) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to work jointly on green building development in Telangana.

Incentivizing the green building rating system to adapt to various types of construction projects, both future and built environment, through renovation and upgrading, as well as carrying out a study of assessment to assess the green criteria of potential projects such as industrial parks, office buildings, commercial buildings or other TSIIC facilities, will be aspects of their joint work.

As part of the MoU, which was signed by TSIIC Vice President and MD EV Narasimha Reddy and IGBC President Gurmit Singh Arora during the Green Building Congress 2022 here, the IGBC will hold TSIIC and its consultants throughout the project life cycle.

Capacity building through training and awareness programs for professionals such as architects, urban planners, transport planners, engineers and contractors associated with TSIIC projects and joint participation in forums to raise awareness of the concept of sustainable built environment, are among the objectives of the MoU, the IGBC said. in one release.
