Mariya Pyter is getting a directing gig as Magic Hour Productions revealed that pre-production on “With A Whimper” has already begun.

LOS ANGELES, CA, USA, August 24, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — Production and financing company Magic Hour Productions, Inc. is now launching pre-production of “With a Whimper” with Mariya Pyter, who will be the director of the film at its helm.

Mariya Pyter started in the industry years ago gaining experience on The Dr. Phil Show (CBS). Later, she completed her directing program at UCLA Extension and co-founded Magic Hour Productions, INC. in 2013.

Mariya Pyter is best known for her directorial debut, a disability documentary titled “22”. The film received worldwide distribution at the time and is currently available for purchase on Amazon. And now, Mariya plans to make her narrative feature directorial exit with the cosmic horror “With a Whimper.”

The screenplay for the film was written by Devin Fearn, who draws on philosophical ideas and themes from the Lovecraftian universe. A graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, Devin Fearn has received numerous globally recognized awards and nominations from screenplay competitions such as UCLA Screenwriter’s Showcase, ScreenCraft Horror Screenplay Competition, and Samuel Goldwyn Writing Awards.

Magic Hour Productions, INC, founded in 2013 by the creators of ‘On the way to Lovetown’ and ’22’, has announced a slate of film projects comprised of horror stories, historical dramas and animated content to stream via their global distribution partners.

The slate was revealed Wednesday during the virtual “Movie Hour” convention, which Magic Hour Productions, INC is said to be hosting. “Our management team’s goal is simple, to produce character-driven films across all genres and to advance the art and craft of filmmaking,” said co-founder John Harney.

The previously announced “With a Whimper,” slated for production in winter 2022, is on the slate. Several short-lived animated projects, including adventure “The Kiln” and “Grandpa,” as well as two historical dramas with the working titles “Goring and Souers” and “Nazi Mistress,” are also in development.
