A new 84,000 square foot manufacturing center in Huyton began production.
The investment in a second hub allows Hemsec to significantly increase its SIP production while increasing its steel insulation panel manufacturing capacity at the existing Rainhill plant.
Along with the investment in the new hub, Hemsec has also invested in equipment and process automation to increase capacity and give customers more flexibility in lead times.
For shareholders of Hemsec, which was established in Liverpool in 1928, the company said it was “essential” that the manufacturing center was in the Liverpool City area.
The new hub is just ten minutes drive from the existing Rainhill premises and minutes from the M62 and M57 motorways.
Stephen Painter, Managing Director, said: “After a very uncertain period with Covid, we are incredibly proud to have doubled our production, which means we are now at full capacity at our existing Rainhill site. Our new 84,000 square foot manufacturing facility allows us to continue providing our customers with high quality products while driving the business forward.
“This new facility will not only provide more manufacturing space, but will also create more jobs for local people. We are passionate about supporting local communities as well as the industries we work in; with this investment, we hope to provide a space for sharing knowledge and best practices to support the future of the MMC market. We look forward to welcoming guests to the new hub very soon.”
