DUTIES: Assist manufacturing in resolving equipment issues to minimize interruptions and production downtime. Analyze and implement advanced manufacturing techniques, operational requirements, designs and dimension specifications. Evaluate and determine efficiency of equipment use and maximum operating rates. Assist in preparing submission information for new and existing products. Develop processes for the introduction of new productions into the manufacturing environment and perform tasks relating to the development and design of tools, dies, fixtures, gauges and special machinery tools. Update and maintain manufacturing processes as needed. Advise management on new methods, techniques, processes, equipment, tools, etc. that would improve operations. Provide technical assistance to other departments as requested and participate in 6S work activities, SPC and PM programs. Organize and direct lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities and update internal records, reports, drawings and designs through system and document control. Assist in training operators on new or changed equipment processes, practices and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field.
