Phizzical Productions teams up with Sony TV UK to find a star for new Bollywood musical

Phizzical Productions has teamed up with Sony TV UK to reach communities across the UK and unearth the next biggest Bollywood star to hit the stage in ‘Bombay Superstar’. Sony TV has discovered many talented voices in India with shows like Indian Idol; now is your chance to be discovered.

Phizzical and Sony TV are looking for singers who can sing in Hindi and want to perform in musical theater to star in the show ‘Bombay Superstar’, a new Bollywood musical set in the sizzling disco era of the 1970s. take place in London on July 11, in Leicester on July 17 and in Coventry on July 18.

‘Bombay Superstar’ – a co-production with Phizzical Productions, Belgrade Theatre, Coventry and the New Wolsey Theater – is a glamorous and outrageous story at the heart of the world’s biggest film industry, Bollywood. Blurring the lines between reel and real-life events, this catchy retro musical is the passionate tale of a cursed romance between a feisty rising star and her married co-star that delights and scandalizes their dazzled fans. Bombay Superstar is delivered in English and sung in Hindi with subtitles throughout the show to enable accessibility to audiences nationwide.
