The largest production company in the Telugu film industry appears to be in trouble. UV creations are like a banner for Tollywood star Prabhas as most of his films are funded by the giant production house. However, the company has now been subjected to TPS raids. The production plant was raided Tuesday by Goods and Services Tax officers. It is said that the raids lasted for hours and every office was thoroughly searched.
However, despite the roundups, UV Creations remained calm. They claimed the raids were routine and no taxes were evaded. They said such routine raids had also been carried out at their premises in the past. Officials initially alleged that there was over Rs 6 crore in TPS arrears on the corporate side and although TPS officials have yet to issue a statement after the raid, it is said that UV Creations has remained compliant with all rules and regulations.
