UV Creations Acquires Theatrical Rights From Prabhas, Kriti Sanon-Starrer Adipurush

The creators of rebel star Prabhas and star Kriti Sanon Adipurush have wrapped filming, and the film is now in its post-production phase. In its recent development, the current buzz is that renowned production house UV Creations has acquired the Telugu theatrical rights to the upcoming mythological tale for Rs 100 crores.

Director Om Raut has been called the greatest film of Prabhas’ career. The mythological drama, jointly funded by Bhushan Kumar’s T series and Retrophiles, was made on a budget of Rs 300 crore.

The film is a film adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana and has actor Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist, portraying King Ravana and his screen name will be Lankesh. Meanwhile, with Prabhas appearing as Raghav in the film, Kriti Sanon will play Janaki and Sunny Singh as Laxman. Shooting for the massive film wrapped last year in November in just 103 days.

Prabhas was last seen in Salaar and then in Radhe Shyam. Unfortunately, the two failed to win over the public. Now, fans and Prabhas have high hopes for this movie.

Professionally, aside from waiting for the release of Adipurush, Prabhas has Nag Ashwin’s Project K in the works. Considered a mega canvas, the pan-Indian project stars Deepika Padukone in the female lead role and Amitabh Bachchan in a key role.

The multilingual sci-fi film is said to be one of the most expensive Indian films of all time. Besides, he also has a new movie called Salaar with KGF director Prasanth Neel.

Returning to Adipurush, the film is said to be rich in VFX effects and is scheduled to be released during the next Sankranti.
